
The Fondation pour Recherches Médicales is pleased to announce that Karlheinz Krause, President of the Foundation, has been appointed as a new expert for Innosuisse, with his mandate starting in January 2026.
Innosuisse, the Swiss Innovation Agency, plays a key role in strengthening science-based innovation by supporting collaboration between research institutions, start-ups, and industry. For this mandate, 79 new experts were selected from a total of 1,163 applications.
In his role as an Innosuisse expert, Karlheinz Krause will contribute to the evaluation and mentoring of innovative projects, supporting the translation of research outcomes into solutions with economic and societal impact. Through this engagement, he will also contribute to activities that strengthen the broader innovation ecosystem in Switzerland.
Karlheinz Krause brings long-standing experience in research evaluation and innovation funding. He served as Scientific Counselor at the Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF) from 2002 to 2010 and from 2016 to 2025 he was a member of the BRIDGE Proof of Concept Evaluation Panel, a joint initiative of the SNSF and Innosuisse supporting the valorisation of academic research.
This Innosuisse appointment reflects his sustained commitment to fostering biomedical research, innovation, and knowledge transfer in Switzerland, in line with the mission of the Fondation pour Recherches Médicales.
