On August 18, 2025, the Fondation pour Recherches Médicales had the pleasure of welcoming a delegation of six German architects from IE Industrial Engineering München, a firm specialized in the design of laboratories and infrastructure for the life sciences sector.
The visit provided an opportunity to discover the distinctive architecture of La Tulipe, an iconic Geneva building dedicated to biomedical research and listed as part of Geneva’s heritage since 2015. Discussions covered both the architectural history of the site and its current role as a dynamic ecosystem hosting academic research groups, start-ups, and translational life science projects.
The morning included an introductory presentation followed by a guided tour of the building, offering visitors insight into the organization and unique characteristics of this exceptional place where research, innovation, and architecture intersect.
The Fondation pour Recherches Médicales is always delighted to host this type of exchange and to share the history and vision of La Tulipe with international professionals interested in scientific architecture and research environments.
We warmly thank:
for their visit and the enriching discussions on architecture and life sciences facilities.
