A Musical Moment at La Tulipe

The Fondation pour Recherches Médicales recently had the pleasure of welcoming cellist Ophélie Gaillard to the forecourt of La Tulipe, where a music video was filmed for her new project Prayers, produced with the Aparté label.

The video features a traditional Ukrainian song based on a text by Taras Shevchenko, arranged for solo cello. Interpreted as a human voice that is both fragile and persistent, the piece forms part of an artistic approach that celebrates depth, beauty, and attentive listening as forms of inner resistance.

For this filming, the artistic team chose the forecourt of La Tulipe, an iconic building in Geneva dedicated since its creation to scientific research and biomedical innovation. Its distinctive and expressive architecture provides a striking visual setting that resonates with the atmosphere of the work.

The Fondation pour Recherches Médicales thanks Ophélie Gaillard and video maker Miguel Rodriguez for choosing this location for the filming of this sensitive interpretation.
